Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day

April 19th, 2008 - 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon

Open to Swansea residents only
- accepting (no fee) electronic items (computer monitors, computer box parts & accessories, fax machines, laptops, cell phones, video game consoles, VCRs, projectors, video cameras and others) along with the usual household wastes
- no fee for car batteries, cleaners, pesticides, fuel, oil paints and others
- televisions of any size - $5 fee
- tires - $4 fee per truck tire, $2 per car tire
- propane cylinders - $2 each
Please tighten caps and lids, pack containers in boxes with newspaper or packing material. DO NOT MIX chemicals and NEVER SMOKE while handling hazarduos materials. Do not place waster in garbage bags.

Town of Swansea trash bags are priced at $1.50/bag for a 33-gallon bag and $0.80/bag for a 16-gallon bag and are sold only in packs of 5. Town of Swansea tags, for large items, are sold individually at $10 each.

Residents will be billed a separate annual fee for program participation.
