It's About Time Newsletter
22 February 1998

Hello friends, I'm sorry that this newsletter arrives so late, but I was waiting for word on the status of a few things first. As always keep an eye on the ever-changing webpage for other news as well. Sorry in advance for the length!

And now for the big announcement! Although there may be some "last minute touch-ups", the It's About Time Cyber Cookbook is officially ready to be ordered. To order the cookbook, you will need to send an email to me at morswell@earthlink.net and include the words "Ordering info for Cookbook" in the subject. I don't want to make a general broadcast of my address, so I will only send it out to those who are interested in ordering. Once you receive the address, please send a check for a minimum of $5.00 made out to The Hunger Project (not to myself or It's About Time). Please include your name and email address with the order as well as which type of computer you have - PC or MAC - to reduce the chance of problems in sending the cookbook to you. You will receive the Cookbook via email from Sandy once the order is received. Sandy is willing to work on an individual basis with those who might have trouble opening the cookbook once received.

We are in the planning stages for our next fundraiser as well. We are going to hold a Benefit Concert for The Windstar Foundation sometime in the month of June. You should have already received information regarding the event. If not, please contact me and I will send it to you. I have had a few volunteers for performers and committee members but still need more.

Michael Pushard is still working on a casual "get-together" during the month of April. We hope to have a pleasant afternoon of fellowship and music. Please contact Michael at pushard@telplus.net for details.

We still need reps for many areas. If you feel you could spare a few extra moments of your time for this, please feel free to contact Sandy, Theresa, or myself. We don't ask much of you - just to keep an eye out for projects, etc that fit with our purpose - to continue John's work. With spring approaching there should be plenty of opportunities for "Spring Cleanups" and such.

I am kicking around the possibility of creating an It's About Time chatroom. This would help to keep reps more in touch with each other as well as to provide a place for us to get to know each other better. If there is enough interest in the idea, I will begin the process soon.

On to other news.....

Would you like to be a part of a John Denver fund raiser for Plant-It 2000? Can you sing, play the guitar, play the keyboard,or know someone that does? Bill, in Modesto, CA is working on a John Denver fund raiser for June 27th, 1998. Contact Bill (sing3028@aol.com) for more information.

If you haven't heard about it yet, there is a group of people trying to convince TY to make Beanie Babies in honor of John Denver. Please see the link on our page for more information. I'm all for the idea personally - I would rather have "Denver" or "Sunshine" than "Garcia" any day! :)

Great news regarding the wolves of Yellowstone!!!!! The Federal Government is currently working to appeal the decision of the judge who ordered the wolves to be removed from Yellowstone. A great big Thank You to all of you who may have had a part in this!

At this event there will be a silent auction (for charity), singers, and keynote speakers. It will be simulcast with the memorial in Monterey that will be held the same day. That evening many fan clubs, etc will be having dinners of their own. If there is enough interest I will plan a dinner for It's About Time, as I will be there for this event.

Gosh, I hope that is it! Please let me know if I missed anything! Peace to you all, Marcelle
