Hello everyone.
Our prayers and love go out to those all around the world that have been the victims of violence. Particularly we pray for those in the Baltic region and especially the families and friends of the victims of the senseless rampage in Littleton, CO. "If peace is our vision, let us begin."
It's been rather quiet as of late. Here's what Iıve gathered for you this month.

Quote of the month:
The month's quote is from me this time, given the various situations around the globe, I feel this quote from John is more than appropriate:
"... no more hunger, no more killing, no more wasting life away. It is simply an idea, and I know it's time has come...." -John Denver, "I Want to Live"

Prices for the cookbook, either alone or with last years, will be available soon.
editor's note : the order form is now available and the price for the cookbook is $5.00 for the 1999 version and an additional $5.00 for the 1998 version.

Since I have received absolutely NO interest in supporting Habitats for Humanity, I figured I would give it one last shot. Contact me if you are interested in making a small donation. If you would like more information regarding this organization and why I consider it one of the best, you can check out their website: http://www.habitat.org
Iıve been receiving inquiries regarding the fund-raiser that we held last year for a young boy in Colorado that wanted to help the Cousteau Society. The money was sent to Mason last November. As of yet some people have not received their canceled checks while others have. I have been unable to find out why this is. If I do hear anything more I will certainly pass along the information.

From Karl Clauss at the Rocky Mountain Institute: HELP ROCKY MOUNTAIN INSTITUTE SPREAD THE WORD ON PUBLIC RADIO! Rocky Mountain Institute has gone airborne. RMI is collaborating with ECO-Essays, a nonprofit production organization with impeccable credentials, to produce and distribute a series of 2-1/2 minute mini-essays on public radio stations --260 spots a year, each one airing twice a day. The RMI-sponsored and funded "ECO-Essays" was launched 1 March on radio stations nationwide. ECO-Essays is an unprecedented opportunity for RMI to share its storehouse of information and expertise and further its mission. Covering an array of subjects relevant to ecological and environmental awareness, the series conveys entertaining, concrete, practical, and encouraging information. RMI staff has editorial responsibility for all scripts, and writes about half of them. Guest authors from around the country pen the rest. Growth in coverage and exposure has exceeded expectations. As of 12 April, more than 30 stations across the country were carrying ECO-Essays, not to mention the Armed Forces Radio network of 400 stations in 159 countries. The goal is to reach 100 stations by late 1999, and ultimately to be heard on upwards of 250, with half a million daily listeners in the U.S. You can help by contacting public radio stations and encouraging them to pick up this free series-for the good of the earth and Rocky Mountain Institute. If you know of someone who might want to learn more about funding ECO-Essays, please let us know. Along with RMI's, the name of the individual, corporate, or foundation Sponsor is broadcast after each underwritten segment. Look for the ECO-Essay website: www.ecoessays.org For additional information, please contact: Karl W. Clauss Rocky Mountain Institute phone (970) 927-3128 fax (970) 927-4178 kclauss@rmi.org

It is scheduled for July 23-25 and is now a 3 day event. It will be held again at Camp Mary Orton. Our main speakers include Lou Gold (Siskiyou Project), Ellen Stapenhorst (AikiWorks), Rainbow Eagle, Steven Newman "Worldwalker", Tom Burns (Perkins Observatory) and Chris Reynolds (Creativity, Inc.). We are limiting registration to 160 adults, to keep it small and intimate. The first wave of registration forms will be sent out in March. You can request registration materials through our web site at www.geocities.com/hollywood/boulevard/2376 or email me directly for more information. See you in July! Sandy Willmore 74747.667@compuserve.com
From me: As I have been receiving many inquiries about IAT events, I guess I should let everyone know about the changes that have occurred. There is be NO spring IAT gathering in New England. I do not have time to plan one. Youıll hear more about that in a separate email. I hope there will be a summer gathering, but no promises there either. I will not be going to Aspen in October this year. I am financially tapped - $17,000 in attorneys fees can do that to a person! LOL! So no, I am not planning any IAT events. Anyone willing and interested in doing so is MORE than welcome. At this time I would recommend the Jerome and HIH events as well as the concerts at the Wheeler. Iım sure those will be absolutely wonderful and I hope everyone has a wonderful time there this year.
Oh and speaking of HIH, I can't wait to hear how today went! I'm sure the gathering in Doylestown was a lot of fun.

HSN continued its tradition of innovation in 1998 with the launch of Short Shopping, a division that produces direct selling commercials for various broadcast and cable network partners. The Company holds interest in shopping channels in Germany and Japan and also operates Home Shopping en Espanol, a joint venture with Univision. The Network has been designated official electronic retailer for Unforgettable: Fashion of the Oscars(R), Times Square 2000 and Major League Soccer.
