Memories

Dedicated to the Memory of John Denver
by Dennis Ducey (wildhart@oregontrail.net)

In the autumn of my life
I love to watch the seasons ebb and flow.

They seam to pass so quickly --
and I know
as I watch the leaves turn red and gold --
its just the trees getting ready for wind and snow.

Oh the seasons seam to change so fast
and some how I know
the snow won't last --
But when
it's assume beauty come to pass
a new world will be seen
at last.

For when the world turns blue and green
and every where you look flowers
can be seen
As life begins a new -- and birds begin to sing.

My heart is filled with joy
as I remember the seasons that have past
for I know its just the memories of John
that seem to last.
